Sony Ericsson C۹۰۵ We already posted information about the upcoming Sony Ericsson C۹۰۵ last week. Equipped with an ۸ megapixel camera, it will surely be Sony Ericsson's flagship Cyber-shot handset. Face detection, both a xenon flash and a photo flash, as well as geotagging complete the camera feature set.
Besides that the Sony Ericsson C۹۰۵ (previously codenamed Shiho) also comes with a built-in accelerometer for screen auto rotation, TV-out port (Sony Ericsson TV-Out Cable ITC-۶۰ is sold separately), and, wait for it… Wi-Fi support. Yes, that's wireless networking on a regular feature phone (non-smartphone). A ۲.۴-inch QVGA TFT display with scratch-resistant mineral glass cover will serve you as a viewfinder.
The Sony Ericsson C۹۰۵ measures ۱۰۴ x ۴۹ x ۱۹.۵mm, which makes it rather thick as you would notice on the photos. Weighing at ۱۳۶g, it also offers quad-band GSM/EDGE connectivity as well as UMTS and HSDPA support. Stereo Bluetooth (that's A۲DP for the nerd group), USB and FM radio with RDS are also on board. The Sony Ericsson C۹۰۵ will be available in Copper Gold, Ice Silver & Night Black in early Q۴ ۲۰۰۸ with a bundled ۲ GB Memory Stick Micro M۲. Currently there's no pricing information. Both are lower midrange handset but the first one has some interesting gaming features to offer to the mass market. Armed with a built-in accelerometer, the Sony Ericsson F۳۰۵ offers unprecedented gaming capabilities in this price segment. It's natural that it's not armed with any other high-end features in an obvious attempt to keep the price down. The Sony Ericsson F۳۰۵ has a ۲-inch TFT display with a resolution of ۱۷۶ x ۲۲۰ pixels and a ۲ megapixel camera (no auto focus). A QVGA display would have been much appreciated, but then again remember - keeping the price down requires sacrifices. Beside that the F۳۰۵ also sports stereo loud speakers, stereo Bluetooth (that's A۲DP for the nerd group) and quite simply… stereo FM radio.
The highlight of the F۳۰۵ is the accelerometer-enabled portable gaming. There are three games pre-installed on the device (Bowling, Bass fishing and Jockey) and they all employ its built-in sensor. Additional motion games developed by Gameloft are available for download at PlayNow. If you feel like playing some bowling for example you can do that by simply swinging the handset as if you are to throw a bowling ball (just hold tight there!). Some of the games can be played in multiplayer mode via Bluetooth. There are also some special gaming keys that you'll notice above the display. The F۳۰۵ D-pad now looks more of a… console D-pad. The quad-band GSM/EDGE-enabled Sony Ericsson F۳۰۵ can be additionally pimped up with Style-Up covers (two of them come in the retail box). The F۳۰۵ offers up to ۸ hours of continuous gameplay however it will also be able to benefit from a new accessory called Sony Ericsson Power Pack CPP-۱۰۰. Sold separately, it attaches to your keyring and when you need it, you simply plug it into the phone to receive some extra power juice. The Sony Ericsson F۳۰۵ will be available in Polar White and Mystic Black from Q۳ ۲۰۰۸. Pricing is yet unknown. The Sony Ericsson Power Pack CPP-۱۰۰ will be available from Q۴ ۲۰۰۸. Sony Ericsson S۳۰۲The Sony Ericsson S۳۰۲ is the next device that leaked several days ago. It comes under the Snapshot series, which pretty much says it all. The S۳۰۲ is armed with quad-band GSM/EDGE support, a ۲ megapixel camera without auto focus and ۲-inch TFT display with a resolution of ۱۷۶ x ۲۲۰ pixels. A FM radio, M۲ card slot, stereo Bluetooth (that's A۲DP for the nerd group) and USB port are also on board.
The Sony Ericsson S۳۰۲ will start shipping in early Q۴ ۲۰۰۸. Sony Ericsson K۳۳۰And finally, Sony Ericsson announced a couple of low-end devices, which are obviously set to compete with the successful Nokia models in this segment. Much like Nokia handsets, they would offer dust-resistant keypads and LED flashlights (or torches as Sony Ericsson call them). First off is the Sony Ericsson K۳۳۰, which flaunts a VGA camera (with video recording) and a ۱.۷-inch TFT display with a resolution of ۱۲۸ x ۱۶۰ pixels. It also has ۱۰MB of internal memory, MP۳ ringtones support, Bluetooth, FM radio and a LED flashlight.
The dual-band GSM enabled Sony Ericsson K۳۳۰ will be available in Gold on Black and Green on Black color combos in Q۳ ۲۰۰۸. Sony Ericsson J۱۳۲The Sony Ericsson J۱۳۲ doesn't have a camera on-board but offers a dust-resistant keypad and a LED flashlight along with a built-in FM radio. The J۱۳۲ will have a ۱.۵-inch display with a resolution of ۱۲۸ x ۱۲۸ pixels.
The Sony Ericsson J۱۳۲ has ۴MB of internal memory and has dual-band GSM support and some nice battery times. It will be available in Night Black and Heaven Blue in Q۳ ۲۰۰۸ |
